Even though my students didn’t get the summer off, I still made sure Back to School was fun and interesting.
- I sent postcards to their house inviting them back to school and introduced myself as the teacher. You can also create a fun colorful letter to send out. I asked parents to make sure their child had a backpack, I usually only did this for my pre-k students,

I found these postcards on the Scholastic Website
2, I also changed my bulletin boards to represents Back to School, I shared a few below.

Sharpen your minds for a New School Year!

Stepping into another School Year!
3. I created a teacher poster that told the parents a little something about me.

This is a simple little poster that I made. I told the parents why I teach, my experience and education, and a picture of me.
4. When I was a Pre-K teacher, I put name tags on the table so the students knew where to sit. In front of the name tag, I gave each student a Back to School bag.

5. Project- Here’s a fun Project! Give each student a pretend lunch box. Have them cut out foods from a newspaper that they would like in their lunch box. The sales papers would be great for this project.

Hope all is well and thanks for believing in us teachers.
Thank you, and you are welcome
